Modernization of Armătura Park

A project very dear to ECO GARDEN CONSTRUCT team was the modernization of Armătura Park in Cluj – Napoca. Through this project, The river Someș is no longer understood as a thin line dividing the city in two. Instead, it is redesigned as a thick strip that is part of the urban fabric of the city. It incorporates distinct ecological systems and integrates public space. The Someș is conceived as an urban connector of public spaces and green areas. It also becomes the main circulation route for pedestrians and bicycles. In this way, the modernization of Armătura Park aims to create a bridge between the river and the city.

The main works included in the project were the modernization of the park in terms of dendrological material and consisted in planting 205 new trees and 236 shrubs as well as landscaping the park according to the projects.

The modernization of Armătura Park is realized with European funds obtained by Cluj Napoca City Hall through the Regional Operational Program 2014 – 2020, Priority Axis 4 – Supporting sustainable urban development.
