Urban redevelopment of a neglected area

Project objective

The realization of this green project aimed to reconvert an unused plot of land in the center of a collective housing development with a shortage of green space per capita, into a recreation area with activities and facilities accessible to the public of all ages.

Project description

Total park area – 9450 square meters
green spaces – 5.957 square meters
automated irrigation system
permeable secondary pedestrian walkways made of compacted aggregates – 588 square meters
gravel and sand protection areas around the fitness and play equipment – 380 square meters
Main pedestrian walkways in granite – 1.120 square meters
sports and play areas in polyurethane rubber – 1220 square meters
asphalt parking – 185 sqm
cycle lanes, sidewalks and street furniture
recreational facilities on landscaped grounds
paved fountain with water jets
lighting with LED technology
charging station for electric bikes and scooters
electronic information board
automatic toilet
pavilion in the sports field area parking lot

Beneficiaries

Situated in the north-eastern part of Cluj-Napoca, the Entre Lacuri Park is a predominantly green area where the residents of the Entre Lacuri neighborhood – over 10,000 inhabitants – will enjoy a space for relaxation and recreation.

“I congratulate the companies that carried out the works in this park because they finished the work ahead of schedule so that the people of Cluj can benefit from a 1-hectare area of land that represents an oasis of greenery in a very important neighborhood of Cluj. There are 165 trees planted here, as well as sockets for charging electric bicycles, a remote management system for public lighting, an automatic toilet, play facilities for children, a sports field and much more.
