The main objective was to transform an abandoned and polluted piece of land previously used as a landfill site into a modern green area accessible to the community. Through this project, the local authorities wanted to improve the quality of life of the residents, create an area for recreation and relaxation, as well as contribute to environmental protection. The park was designed to revitalize the area, providing a meeting place for the people of Sibiu and promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.

Beneficiaries
Belvedere Park was developed on a plot of land located in the vicinity of the Tilișca and Valea Aurie neighborhoods, the area being bounded by the streets Preot Bacca and Săcel extension. The park is a predominantly green area where residents will enjoy sports, relaxation and 56,000 square meters of nature.

“It is the first park to be developed in Sibiu in the last 30 years and, what’s more, it is an urban reconversion project whereby a vacant lot is given public utility. I invite all the people of Sibiu to enjoy the park and not just those who live in the area”
